These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Aheadly application ("the app", "we", "our"). By using Aheadly, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Aheadly is a family scheduling assistant that combines your calendar events, family routines, weather, and travel data to generate a daily plan. The app may also provide AI-generated suggestions, task tracking, and optional SMS notifications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Aheadly is intended for use by parents and guardians to manage household schedules.

3. Account & Authentication

• You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may join or create a household and invite other members. As a household admin, you are responsible for managing membership.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app
• Share household invite codes with people you do not intend to join your household

5. SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number and selecting a preferred text time, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Aheadly containing your daily plan summary.

• Message frequency: Up to 1 message per day
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan
• Opt out: Remove your phone number from your profile at any time to stop receiving messages

6. Third-Party Services

Aheadly integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication and calendar), Google Maps (travel estimates), Twilio (SMS delivery), OpenAI (AI suggestions), and Open-Meteo (weather). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

7. AI-Generated Content

When AI suggestions are enabled, plan recommendations are generated by OpenAI based on your family profile and calendar. AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. You should use your own judgment when following any suggestion. We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code of the Aheadly application are the property of Aheadly. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app without permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Aheadly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Daily plans, travel estimates, or weather data will be accurate
• AI-generated suggestions will be appropriate for your situation
• SMS messages will be delivered successfully by your carrier

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aheadly and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to missed appointments, late arrivals, or reliance on AI-generated suggestions.

11. Data & Privacy

Your use of Aheadly is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Aheadly at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the app at any time. Contact us to request deletion of your data.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
